Bundyo: It looks like "map" (Wayfinder) has also been updated. It is showing version 2.2.8.421-1 available, and I have 2.2.6.377-1 installed.

Updated map can be installed from http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com...lo/user/m/map/ also for chinook.
Installed map_2.2.8.421-1_armel.deb on my N800 with chinook and it seems to work. Only difference that I can see is that Wayfinder changed their logo. There could be something else too but I don't have the license.

Map data is downloaded independently of the map software. There is a download tool inside the map gui.

well, I'm just asking for a short summary with confirmed info, for the non-hacker
The next time this happens--if you're using an N800--pop out the camera. That can unlock the display. Additionally, retrying the unlock sequence after allowing the display to fade to black has worked for me in the past and may be worth attempting.
