iPhone 4 vs. Galaxy S... I'd suggest ignoring their commentary and just look at the pictures.
The iPhone looked "cleaner"

Considering you don't use a magnifying glass and that the iPhone has more pixels per inch I conclude Super AMOLED is vastly superior.

You also have to consider
-less power being used
-no display layers, both touch and light integrated at pixel level.

A samoled with the same ppi would leave no questions.

Don't do it. We had to pull a restore.

As negative as it is to say it. I am glad to see that the iPhone4 is having problems. For the same reason why I am glad to see Macs or Linux have the occasional virus or whatever. To show people that their perception about a product or brand is not necessarily 100% true.

That being said, I hope Apple fixes all these products soon or their competitors are going start slacking off. =P

That would be like trying to see the difference between 3D and 2D tvs on my 2D tv, i.e. not going to happen. at least they zoomed in enough to show me the AMOLED matrix though.

so I was forced to read the commentary and it was as you would expect from engadget no mention of AMOLEDs strengths, true black, battery drain.

the viewing angle edge was given to iphone when it is in fact one of the few things that the AMOLED is better at. "oversaturated", what? complete quasi-science influenced by prior preference.

Eh? Not sure I understand the logic of this statement.

But allow me to ask a question, a serious one. Are you people really that happy that a competing consumer item as the Nokia N900 has a flaw - one that has an awkward workaround, but one (of a few) workarounds that do exist alleviate the problem - and you're celebrating?

Just wondering.
