If one battery says 50 and the other 75, then the connection is not good enough, there should MAX be a 5% difference when disconnected from each other.

This is why i made mine in the "destructive" way, i don't want a sudden shutdown because connection is "bad"

All the battery's i have (Not N900) are also soldered good together because of this, my Electro ciao pulls 110A so this would be bad and would destroy parts of the battery if only some of the 36 cells would suddenly pull the hole load

Other mod i would recommend is zimon's mod

FYI I just used copper wire that was sold as picture wire

you know, the copper wire that is used to hang pictures up sold at bunnings. Not sure if thats substantially diff from electrical wire - but it does say pure copper.

I charge over 95% no issues on usb and I often charge on external desktrop charger (when I pop battery into phone its over 90% using the QBW script here), although my double battery probably does not get as good capacity as the destructive mod though. Still decent

if ppl want pics I can post some - but it just looks kinda like the earlier pics before.

For fun i did a charge last night with a USB charger (500mA) not fast charge
Heres the results for USB vs. my external/internal charger

NOTE: doing my charge recaller had craped out and was as you can see totally ripping the power/cpu
Also note that my charger gives a few more % of charge

FYI I m using this external battery charger that can fully charge the scuds. Its output is very low, ~250-300mah, but for 5$ it is good. It takes it almost 5 hours for a full charge cycle. Also, you can use its usb output for other charges, ~800mah (didn't tested if this is the actual value).

Thats a nice little very cheap charger, but not fast, if you where to charge a dual scud, you would be looking at about 10 hours.

Remember im using the 3000mAh setup, the charger i normally use to charge with is http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mystery...-charger-35704 it really sucks at charging multi cells but charging single (3.7V) battery it works fine, this is the cheapest RC charger i have and it is just generally use to charge all my single cell "gadgets" like DIY led torches.

I also was expecting not too much difference in charging level, 25% is too much, the phone was using only one battery since the duration is not so good compared to the other users test.

Without soldering experience is very probabily that i can only do damage to the battery, and don't want to wait another month for another shipment, plus the increased cost.

Anyway i remade the plug with soldering wire this time, it is much more malleable and less prone to lose the contact, at least for me. Now i think that is working, for two reason: the first one is that your QBW indicator is more stable, in the previous attempt the value fluctuate very much, now is reasonable. The second is the duration, i lose only a 25% in 13 hrs, with 3g always on, IM always on, 2 hrs of web navigation. This is a sensible increase in life, in the previous attempent with the same configuration the battery was almost drained.

So let's see in the next days how it behave.

Are your scud totally discharged. Because 5 hrs * 300 mAh = 1500 mAh, the value of a single Scud. You should recharge 3000 mAh for having both the scud fully charged, so it is necessary 10 hrs with this charger.

Just a little correction here, the first 60-80% charge will be at 300mAh, then it will go down in charge rate because the voltage potential gets smaller between charger and battery, this causes the last bit of charging to take "forever", the last 10-30% might only charge with 20-100mA

It seams that mugen is on to me/us

Now they are not selling the XL cover unless you have bought the battery from them, i cannot confirm this (don't have the money to buy...) and was brought up by another user.

Can anybody else confirm this?

NOTE: im finishing up the first video, it so far is only going to be a dissemble video, this is the most important step of them all, if this step is not done properly then it will be almost impossible to make the dual battery, the way i did

False, at least for me. As i said before, i ordered mine on 09.05.11 and considering their info true, it's already shipped to me, after little delay problems - I posted about it here few posts before.

But, it is still possible that I angered them so much that their started to check Anyway, if they really started to, they don't keep tracks from the beginning of N900 mugen battery availability. I think that checking when they started selling it and telling that You bought it on same month, and of course can't prove it after all this time, may help.
