I got my TOHIRI this week as well, and I'm very happy with it. As we know, it won't compete with FLIR camera, but it does give useful measurements for all sorts of applications.

The quality of the printed mechanics gave me a pleasant surprise too - I didn't expect it to be as good as it is!

I'm now thinking I'll need to repackage the TOHIRI to work with the TOHKBD2 when it arrives (Thinking make it magnetically mounted like the keyboard part, so an easy swap when needed)

I'd like to try making a screen tap take a screenshot, I guess I need to bite the bullet and try installing the SDK if I ever find the spare time

Yep, the pulldown menu screenshot save is little tricky, as it does not freeze camera - something easier would be nice.

as stated above, fork and make PR !

Looks interesting.
This question was asked before, but i haven't found an answer yet:
Does it work in the dark? That would be really awesome.

And how is the delivery time if i order one today (if it is still possible), still 11 weeks?

Hi,

does the sensor work in front of glass and metal surfaces?
Would be nice to check heat losses around windows of a house, or to check isolation in metal wall claddings.

Typically windows and shiny metal surfaces reflect IR light, so you propably see your own "thermal reflection" - not the temperature of object.

Painted surfaces are ofc no issue.

The current gradient algorithm needs some improvement, but yes, with some effort you can use it to find cold-spots - and it needs to be cold outdoors to do this...
