Actually, I found those tweaks a real improve in my N810. I just applied them and the increase in responsiveness is notably.

Thanks.

I ended up having to undo the net-related sysctl changes. While they didn't affect most wifi networks, the one(s) at my university simply stopped working correctly when trying to access the internet with these settings changed. The way the university's wifi network(s) work is you visit an external site (say internettablettalk.com) and it redirects you to an authentication page when you try and do so. With the net settings changed that would never happen, it would just hang there saying Connecting and never go anywhere. I can't say I noticed a significant difference from what I recall using those settings here at home though.

If such a script exists, I sure would like to give it a try, especially if it works with asterisk. Can you please provide the link to this script?

I'm intrigued now, the kernel tuning does seem to work well, I'll see if I can add to them.
The browser tweaks work a treat too, nice work!

well since ive fine tuned my n800 i find the experience more enjoyable...less laggy....got the fonts just right....someone mentioned an bit of code that was echo something or other to lock the processor in 388.54...everything is working good...any way to make that survive between reboots

Yes, add the kernel tweaks to your /etc/sysctl.conf
