BUMP

Sorry to bump this older thread, but I just got my n900 today and I am in love ! I can get my wiimote and my n900 sync'd with wiicontrol, it will control the volume and such! But when i load up the snes emulator it doesn't control the game. Anyone else had this problem and know a solution?

did you actually go into the emulator settings and set new key binds for the wiimote? sounds like you left the default keybindings that use the N900 keyboard.

I did go into the emulator settings and changed it to "snes mouse". The more i read I think i need to go into the wiicontrol script and edit some file, but i dont have any idea how to even get to the usr/bin and if I did i'd prly break something lol

Iīve tried to edit the mapping a couple of times now without progress
which is the one I need to change, as there is like six of them?

wiicontrol wont start after replacing the wiicontrol file
How you did that ?
I edit the file as root with vi. The 69 Line is the hotspot
I changed everythng there, even the up,down,... to letters. Now the wiimote uses all buttons exept the B. Nunchuck did not work for me, but im going to test a few things today.

Does this support add-ons like the nunchuck/classic controller?

Even if you get all the buttons of a wiimote working you still don't have enough without a classic controller hooked to it.

I have a question regarding this as well.
I have mapped the arrows and the 1 & 2 buttons for Openarena which makes the game very playable I must say.

However how to get the accelerometer to work with the wii.
I want to use the accelerometer as well as the buttons.
so for example for aiming in this game.
or for driving in a emulator?

Is this possible?
I also suggest that the developer of this app, great a gui for the control mapping. That way things are much easier for everyone.

Otherwise great app so far thanks :-)

Indeed wiicontrol is a cool application.

I also suggest to add an icon to the application, e.g. in google I found the attached one taken from "http://www.jouwpagina.nl/fotos4/guntronix/remote.png".

It has to be saved as "usr\share\icons\hicolor\48x48\hildon\wiiremote.pn g" and activated editing file "usr\share\applications\hildon\ukwii.desktop" (adding line "Icon=wiiremote") and rebooting the device.

See also this post if your keyboard is not working with SNES and you don't know how to map the keyboard.
