Don't know what they are, but I have only 4 running.

Also, maybe it's been asked, but is your Bluetooth off?

Ok!! Wait a minute!!!

I charged it lunch time (because I killed it using it this morning) and It's stable!! The battery has remained constant at guessing at 10 days idle and 7 hours in use!! And it's been like that for 9 hours!!!

It might just be a case of it playing mind games with me... It likes to do that

One little question: How many processed should be running at any one time on a device that has just been flashed?

Also does the flip out keyboard drain the battery more or less than using the one on screen, or one through the USB port?

Oh and I'm not a He!! I'm a She :P

Sorry, unless otherwise specified i assume a male gender...

Anyways, not sure how many processes there should be.

A usb keyboard may act more draining on the battery tho, as it draws power from the usb port. And the extendable keyboard i'm unfamiliar with as i own a N800.

As tso says, this will do absolutely nothing. Radio transmission is only a very small portion of the total power consumption of the whole WiFi chipset. The transmission power is really only there for regulatory reasons. See bug #256.

On the other hand, the lower transmission power will make it harder to keep connected. Therefore it is best to use the (default) 100 mW power, unless legislated otherwise in the law of your country.
If you want power saving you need to, appropriately enough, change the "Power saving" setting in the same dialog. See the article on WiFi PSM for details.

Lol I'm just playing with you I couldn't resist! For some reason, something about my username just makes people assume I'm male I spend months on WikiAnswers trying to convince the other supers that I was female!

I tend to always plug it in when using the external keyboard anyway, generally because I'm settling in for a lot of typing

Does using the on screen keyboard (Or I guess using the touch screen a lot) have a great effect on the battery power?

I would say that the backlit keyboard would draw more power, although the differences between the two really would be very small. any USB devices drawing power from the tablet will be a big drain

Whaaa, i'm happy to be wrong ! It's nice that your device works properly again !

... About the gender thing, I guess that, unfortunately, genius is suposed to be male related, a little bit like "nurse" is unofficially female related. Even if our cultures are evolving ... there is still a macho background, isn't it ?

Lol Since when is Genius related mainly to males? It sure is a man's world!! Even with women's rights, men still run the joint

And YAY^^ So far the battery hasn't dropped at all!

All I have to do now is start installing some programmes back on it... Are there any that are known to have a great effect on battery power?

The ones that I use the most are Xournal and USBcontrol, but if either of these could contribute to the grain just by being on there (the USB one is only used when I'm plugged in to the mains) then I'll reconsider putting them on!

So you have been using usb-keyboard all the time? I'm pretty sure that that's the reason for battery drain.
