munky261: Are you sure you don't have a separate copy somewhere on your system?
Another possibility is having multiple copies of the same library with different ones being loaded.
You are running Diablo?
Anyway, running in gdb, then getting the output of "trace" after the SEGV might still provide useful info.
Also check that theere is free space on the device.

I reflashed last night, installed personal menu and seqretary and the problem persists...it opened up the first time, I added a test appointment and changed some options, now it wont even open with the regular application menu. As for the gdb thing, im not familiar with that, is it something i install in app manager? And yes, Im running diablo and as of right now with all my apps installed there is about 60mb of free space.
edit: Now it is opening with the regular menu entry, but it wasnt last night...still no luck with personal menu

gdb is available, I think, in the extras repository. However if you send me a copy of everything under your .seqretary directory that may help too.
For gdb, once installed, open up an xterm, then:
$ gdb /usr/bin/seqretary
...
(gdb) run
...
(gdb) trace

Here is my .seqretary folder. (removed the period) Also, couldnt find gdb to instal, doesnt seem to be on extras, even enabled extras devel to check there and no luck

Snoshrk: It's a journalled tagged binary file format with range-indexed trees and free block lists. Not so good for manipulating with external utilities, but very good for preventing file corruption and for quickly finding stuff overlapping a date range. In short, don't expect to be able to manipulate it without building something using the Seqretary source code. If you did want to try that, the header files you would be interested in would be eventdb.h, event.h, schedhead.h, schedtime.h and schalarm.h

munky261: I see nothing in the options file that should cause what you're seeing, and trying your files on Debian and on the tablet works for me. Does the problem still occur if you delete ".seqretary/options.dat"?

Feature requests:
- Add checkbox to hide events from home applet, so that trivial daily items don't swamp the list, making it useless
- Allow recurring event exceptions to be defined more generally, as with the recurring event definitions themselves
