Regarding Conboy there might be problems that strings get truncated. Especially the filters inside the view menu have not a lot horizontal space. Those strings are "Small", "Normal", "Big" and "Huge" which are displayed all in one line. The same with "Sort by title" and "Sort by date".
Ok, I just thought I brought the issue up as when I was translating I noticed some strings got pretty long.

That happens with Danish too, needless to say. I don't see any description in the bugzilla entry for how this will be fixed in Fremantle and I'd be curious how they've addressed the matter. Shrinking the font size makes for poor usability and expanding the widget (either horizontally or even worse vertically) to accommodate the text is likely to introduce all sorts of app layout problems.

I think it'd be rather neat (for about 5 minutes) if text that was too long to fit scrolled.

One solution would be to have a max length on all string. So that we have to short them if it goes to long. Like this:

Software update notifier = Meddelandefunktion för programvaruuppdateringar -> Medd.funktion för Progr.uppdateringar

That would be easy to understand and I have seen Adobe do this in their Swedish versions of apps.

Any way to improve it?

Currently, if I do translations in more than one session, I have no way to see what I have done unless you committed the new strings in the meanwhile.

Not a big deal on Conboy, but bigger projects may be a tad more difficult to handle.

From the Transifex FAQ:

* If you're hosting your project on a VCS you can either receive translations directly in the versioning system by allowing Transifex to commit to your repo, or you can have it send the submissions to the project maintainer via email.
* If you've configured Transifex to pull your translations from a tarball, you can only accept submissions via email.

So conny would probably have to give transifex commit access.

And yes, not immediately seeing the results of your work is a problem.

I am having trouble to send my translation.. it doesnt take it.. I send and it returns me to first page which list the other languages but the it still is 0% (0/0/52)

What am I doing wrong?

Its like it is write protected. I tried 4-5 times now. Could anyone else go there and just type anyting into the first and see if it saves it?

I think you just need to wait for conny to receive your file and commit it to his server before you can see it...

Transivex.net currently only supports svn+ssh but on garage we use svn+https. Because of that transifex cannot directly write to the repository. The transifex.net admins told me that support for svn+https should be there in about a week.

That's true. But there seems to be another problem, because I didn't receive anything.

Ok this is what I just now did:

1. login and goes to conboy -> main branch
2. I hit edit (pen icon) on Swedish.
3. I translate first "New note" to "Ny anteckning".
4. Then I scrolled down and press "Submit translation". (I just did first to test this now).

You got nothing ?
