Was that in response to my post? I was talking about the installation, not the download.

Edit: Never mind....you were talking about why it isn't a global release I presume.

can someone please tell me exactly what they did, as mine wont update, NSU says its up to date,, but the update shows in app manager

also what product code if possible also.

my product code 0580952
using latest ver pc suite
latest ver NSU
no ovi suite.. is that the problem??

there is hardly a fault in the way the update process for the n900 has been handled. from the release of the PR1.1 to selected community members to help beta tests the updates.. to the focus on technical issues and bug tracker. to the numbers of bugs quashed.. (inlucding some which i filed and/ or voted for) it shows that community participation and feedbacks are taken seriously. Am so proud to be a member in this communty. Well done to Petter Quim all the nokia and maemo devs and every one who with their feedbacks helped make this happen. this is a model of how an opensource project should be driven

So it goes to the two dots, stops and does a reboot?

Wait a bit for the flashable images to get to tablets-dev.maemo.org. That is if you know how to use the flasher.

(There is also the thread going around here somewhere about putting the device in r&d mode and disable some flags for one reboot and then putting it back to normal mode. But that is dangerous if you do not know what you are doing!)
