I miss the headphone remote control from my N95. I also miss a google maps application. I was also a little disappointed that the still/video camera isn't quite up to the quality of the N95.

Everything else is just great. Love the FM transmitter and the web browser is just brilliant.

The only thing I used to miss was the logic of the Media player in my 5800Xm.

Other than that, this is everything I wanted and more. ANd of course it is, because I did my homework before hand.

Per contact ring sound.
Better ( = more compatible, for me) bluetooth.
Hardware buttons for answer/reject.
The battery time.
The feeling of being clever enough to pick a phone with an awesome feature per dollar ratio - I don't have that on the N900 at all.

Bubble Breaker.

I gained much more than I lost, but then it cost much more too.

Coming from N95 NAM, I miss these features/apps/specs

- AT&T 3G Compatibility
- Google Maps (yes, IMO in US you can't beat Google Maps)
- Better bluetooth stack
- Mini-USB Port (Which is also used by most external hard disks, so you don't have to carry around too many USB cables).
- Phone Guardian (Remote lock/unlock phone with SMS, SMS sent to a secondary no. when SIM is replaced etc).
- Smart Profiles (Schedule or location-based profile switching)
- Groups in Contacts. Assigning a ring tone to each group
- Gravity

One feature which is specific to phones like N95 is the hardware controls for music playback. I just love it. It is really useful (and safe) when I connect N95 to car stereo. I don't have to look at the phone to play/pause/skip/replay songs. Try that on a touch-screen phone No please DON'T .

I am still missing:
Task Descriptions.
Search for: fields in contacts; Tasks; Notes; Calendar; Content.
categories: grouping contacts notes and tasks in categories.
Prioritizing tasks
calendar functions like setting exact time reminders and costume repeat options like first Friday of every month.
Pause in media player ie. I cant play audio books or pod casts where I left off
one handed operation to turn on and off the screen.
volume control from withing my pocket. .
bluetooth visible for 2 minutes.
Battery life I would love to get a full day of use for those days I go out after work.

I really like the N900. With the exception of the battery usage/video calling I had all the following on my N97.

Portrait Mode,
MMS
Voice active.
Video call function
More Apps. Vlingo, Nimbuzz, facebook, to start off with.
Better Battery usage.

Xenon flash
MMS (yes I know about fmms)
More profiles
Voice navigation
Portrait keyboard with T9
Portrait sms

I have to mention I really like the sound quality I get out of the FM transmitter. It really shows how crappy the sound (i assume compressed) from the FM stations are. If someone could make the volume buttons in music player do prev/next when the fm transmitter is on it would be awsome for car use.

Key to move to top of webpage (I know of the work-around and hear it will be in PR1.2)
Google Maps
Support of more stuff in Portrait mode
Easier search in Contacts App
Use of all of the screen in Video player
