You're right.
This is indeed not the intended behavior.
Thanks for reporting.
A new version which fixes this issue is in the autobuilder queue.

Alright,

I added a hack to keep the display etc. on while the N900 is controlled via Zeecontrol.
The problem was that the N900 kept entering standby mode when it was operated only by a Zeemote.
With the new hack applied Zeecontrol behaves more like "normal" user input.
The new version is 0.5.0 and is available from extras testing.

Please let me know how this works for you and if you encounter any problems with e.g. responsiveness.
So far I tested it here with DrNokSnes and it seems to work quite well.

Hm, strange. I'm able to connect. But my remote send's no button events. Works fine with the Zeemote configuration at the settings.

Have I to delete my button settings File first before updating? Seems good to me at the settings.

Thanks for the info.
I think I simply forgot to add some dependencies.
I uploaded a new version, which hopefully fixes the problem.

Without success. But I found the error at my own device.

I started zeecontrol at the command line.

I saw a writeaccess error for ~/.zeecontrol/UserMappings.py.
I've created my own user settings some weeks ago using ssh. So I guess it was because I created the file using ssh as root.

I deleted my UserMappings.py and now I got the error: "ImportError: No module named UserMappings"

I guessed he tryed to create a own UserMappings during the installation. So I deinstalled Zeecontrol and installed it totally fresh. But without success.
Still: "ImportError: No module named UserMappings" in "ZeemoteEventThread.py" line 32.

My last try was to delete also the folder ~/.zeecontrol/ and now it works!
Will test it later using PicoDrive. Thanks a lot!

Works great, no problems with responsiveness. Applications such as iNES are much more usable now that the display stays on.

Thanks again for a great application, and for continually improving it.
