Can it be if application menu button just was on «second level» of applets and you didn't find it?

Also made the change recommended by giladmttw for the notifications, and that will do nicely until Telescope provides something really slick.

I also lost the application menu so I opened /home/user/.osso/hildon-desktop/statusbar.conf
and changed 'false' to 'true' here:

[/usr/share/applications/hildon-status-bar/applications-menu.desktop]
X-Load=false

works fine.

Installed, rebooted and for a few seconds I thought I also had lost the application menu - but it had just shifted down a bit and was on the 2nd row in the status menu. Moved it up..and looks great!

(I also updated the first post in this thread with the update).

am I able to update via the notification without disable and uninstall of the current version first or is that just to uninstall it period?

I think it should update normally without uninstallation

how to make typing cursor appear??? it is not visible i guess it is because it is black which is same as the color of background
