Ahhhh I'm in work, I have to work late and didn't take the lead i'll have to wait till i get home to flash ........it's gonna be a long long day

If you want to just download the .bin file and flash yourself then go to ....
http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php
Choose the right file area wisely and download..... simple first step then flash using flasher 3.5.

Phone has application called backup, guess what it does
(still if you are going to make full erase then you should run backup program and copy backup folder to your desktop computer and flash(vanilla+emmc), start phone and copy backup folder back to N900 so you can restore contacts. At least for me this worked.

I assume the reason uk got the update first is because of the uk vs mexico game last night, I believe the uk won.... a bit racist if you ask me as I had no idea the people at nokia hated the mexicans that much

So for those users in UK will we get an update at some point today automatically or do we need to to use the flasher.

Also should I backup my device before doing an update?
