It's not cap for password but it still is for server name and username
so if you already disabled the parameters option
ONLY for login and server name :
use the maj button when typing the first letter it will print it not in MAJ ( ie KEEP the maj button while typing your letter )
working here for me![]()
if it is still not working try upgrade maybe you missed the last upgrade ?
I think Jojop2 made the change only for the password field

Thank you for the quick fix, but now I have another problem.
I need to be able to switch between active and passive mode, depending on where I connect to my FTP server from.
Is there any chance such a function could be implemented?
Thanks.

Starts to looking good. But I suggest the you should be able to chose between advance folder view and basic. Where advance shows all the .folders and basic shows you MyDocs with the folders as shown in Maemo "File Manager".
I think people th5 like to use Ftp but not familiar with .folders find it much more easy to navigate.
Also the most common folders I use are .sound, tmp, .documents and .downloads so all the other .folders is just in the way for easy and usable navigating in local files.
Also a meny with your favorites thet connects you right away with one click would be nice.
A connecting and downloading progressbar would be nice.

Thanks for good tips and hints.
I like the idea of switching between an advanced and an basic view.
For the topic regarding the direct connection from Bookmarklist I would appreciate some more opinions.
My intention was to see the server URL before connecting in order to verify that it is the right server, because once you are connected you don't have an inidication to which server the connection has been made.
What do you mean by connecting progressbar? Do you mean a forth and back running progressbar during the time where the aplication trys to connect until connection is established?
Regarding the downloading/uploading progressbar:
My plan was to implement this feature. That's why I use the QFtp module for File Transfers.
If the SSH feature is requested I have to switch to ftplib module, which doesn't seem to give me the file size of remote files. So a progressbar is not possible anymore with SSH I think.
What do you think?

As stated previously, I have Auto-capitalisation disabled at system level (text-input).
Don't follow your second suggestion.
Am I really the only one where the first letter is in caps when writing in the username and server fields when creating a location?
I'm not saying it's a major issue, just curious.
