hi.

great app!
short question: if u accidentaly close a note, how can u recover it?
unfortunately the screen activates easily when the phone is in the pocket ... widgets end up messed up .... what if a note is closed? can u recover it? cause if not ... i'd better stick with "notes"

Hi,

Some people already noted this bug, and a new feature is already implemented, it will become available with the next version.

Basically, a dialog with a Yes/No will pop up and ask if you really want to delete the note. That should prevent accidental deletion.

Btw, the screen has never been accidentally activated in my pocket yet.

It has arrived!

The new version is now in Extras-devel!

I'll edit the first post of this thread, but here is the change list:
  • Several bug fixes and optimalizations
  • A quick options dialog appears when the middle button is pressed
  • Ability to change font
  • Ability to change text colour
  • Ability to change opacity
  • New colour selection dialog
  • New about dialog
  • Donation option
  • Last, but not least:
Text formatting options! Bold, italic, underline, and strike-through is supported, with key shortcuts!

Have a look at it, I'll guarantee that it will worth your attention.

If you find any bugs, as always, you are welcome to report it here.

I also entered Sticky Notes into the 1st Maemo Coding Competition, in the "Desktop" category.

If you find it useful, vote for it when the voting has started.

Thanks for the update. Glad to see transparency has been added. Any possibility of taking the transparency further - the bottom of the note (where you have the + . x) cannot be made transparent (at least I have not found a way to). Any chance of adding that in the next update?

Also just a gentle reminder of a request I made earlier of being able to cycle through different notes stacked on top of each other like pages). I currently have four notes on my desktop. Would love to be able to have different pages on each so I could have 10 pages of each note and effectively 40 notes on one desktop. Yaaaaaay!

Oh and possibility to resize the note sizes so I could have even more than 4 fit on one desktop.

Thanks.

Etuyo, thanks for your recommendations.
However, I recommend you to view the first page again, and read the "planned features" section.

I'll throw in an extra: when the multiple pages feature gets implemented, it will allow you to have unlimited amount of notes! How does that sound?

About the bottom part of the notes:
I'll now tell you the big secret!
That stuff actually uses the same images that you can see on the media player widget's buttons in the default theme.
I could offer an option to set some stuff on it, but I'll have to look into some other things first.

Update to the latest version and see if it helps. If not, let me know and I'll work something out.

Venomo, thanks for this useful app.
I made some design proposal. I don't know if it's doable, but why not make it look like sticky note. Preview and zipped SVG in attachment.
