OK, I think I get it now...thanks...

As for kernels issue, I already installed successfully NITDroid recent build, so I assume that I'm good to go in this regard, right?

I'm installing the new multiboot to be ready for new NITDroid build that is supposed to be coming soon....

Thanks.

You will need to install the recent kernel that Jay-C linked on the first page of this thread.

This now allows me to select options 0 & 1 to boot to Maemo; but, I still can't boot to android.
I also still have the problem of the boot screen constantly refreshing every second.

Could some kind soul when all issues has been worked out please make a wiki with a simple how to make it work and then the link could be posted in the first post. Something like the easy debian, kernel power, NITdroid install wikis and so on Cause right now the info is scattered out through the thread and it would make it easier for people like myself to just turn to one page instead of power reading a thread...

Thanks in advance

I have come across a view issues.

If I have loaded NITDroid and then go back to Maemo, it always fails the first time and powers off the phone. I power back on and it will boot maemo but I didn't have this issue with the previous version.

I also found that if I am charging the phone, Maemo fails every time. NITDroid loaded fine, but when I restarted and left the charger plugged in, Maemo just powered off every time I tried to start it.

The new NITDroid kernel appears to mess up the screen rotation. Whenever the keyboard is open it insist of going into portrait mode - Upside down portrait too!!!

Maybe a wikipage that shows how to setup multiboot and dual boot both android and debian.
I'm coming across lots of semi-outdated and confusing articles that are scattered in too many places.
I cant do a wiki but could collate all the information I used to get this version working and write a complete how to which would include how to get it working with NITDroid. Not sure it is worth it at the moment with the problems I mentioned above.

Would be cool if you could that at some time when it's working stable like the previous version. No not much point doing it now, unless poeple really want to upgrade or just get some more experience fidling with xterm.
I hope the small glitches gets fixed before the new release of NITdroid cause then we need the new version and kernel or am i mistaken?

I have not seen anything on the NITDroid thread that says a new kernel or bootmenu is needed, but then the devels have been pretty quiet on there lately.

Well we will know in time
