BTW, I don't use this on the N900 but as others have stated, the fact that I can is one of the reasons why I like the N900 in the first place.
Now that there is an auto-installer, others will try it and perhaps develop a greater appreciation for Maemo5 and may better understand the reasoning behind some of the decisions that were made during Maemo's development.

I just don't get it. Everyone except Nokia and Apple makes Android phones, and they make billions of them. If you want Android, then get one of those. They all work, even the "phone apps" in them work, and it is not like Android will be better or different on the N900, Android is Android![]()
If you want to try something different, then try MeeGo, at least that makes some sense.

You can still shut them down manually with Android though by going to settings>application management (or whatever it is called in Froyo) and selecting the app or a setting from within that application manager applet.
