You mean like.. say Rockplayer on Android? The one that plays just about every codec and container under the sun? (Mind you, I dislike Rockplayer) Or VLC on iOS devices (mind you, you need to jailbreak at the moment.. but that might not be the case soon) which also plays almost every codec under the sun? Supposedly VLC is being made for Android now too. Doesn't sound like any royalty or licensing issues are tied to the platforms... which makes sense, since VLC and Mplayer also play just about anything on Windows, Mac and Linux. So I'm very confused how royalty or licensing figures into what I perceive to likely be a technical issue as to why the iPhoney in the room didn't play the video. I'd still like to know what kind of stream it is that the game was on.

Of course you'd then say Android could do the job with some hacking, but IMHO N900/Maemo can do better, and easier job in this case.

You may start the debate on abusing freedom on copyright, licensing and royalty, but I'm not going to argue as it's my believe that some of the legal issues are abusive on themselves.

I know you are well aware of above but for some reason they didn't come to your mind when you stated your arguement. So please regard it a friendly reminder for you. Hope no damage is done.
Oh
My
God.

Shut up.

You're soooo wrong AND you assume wrong about what my "argument" was... also, I was asking questions--not making an argument. Hahahahah

After Balmer, NOBODY can claim to have such clear passion!

That's kind of what I wanted to know. Is it because of Flash? Is it an FLV or MP4 stream that he was playing on the N900? That would make sense, right?

Is it just a problem with iOS in particular that pretty much everyone else COULD watch (i.e. could an Android or Maemo with Flash have watched it? or was it in some stream format like OGG that maybe the iOS device didn't know how to use, but ANYONE else could?). It is pretty funny but I'm technically curious now.
Like I said, I think iStuff used some app. I used an open stream with KMPlayer. Maybe it's more robust to use open solutions compared to a closed app? I don't know. The stream: Look up NRK1 in worldtv99. But it may be closed (or show only a poster) to foreign users.

Rockplayer paid. Didn't you know that?

What you didn't know is beyond my knowledge.

So you want to get away by acting innocent? Frankly it's very awkward to act innocent like that at your age.

Well, at least you're not over 9000.

Seriously, you've been swinging axes at people (for months) because you missed their jokes/points/references.
