damn it...
so flash with rootFS.bin + emmc.bin is the only solution?
well whatīs the best backup then, as Iīm really suspicous about Nokia Link messing things up...

edit: itīs totally ****ed up as Gallery app doesnīt even show a picture taken with the phone...

you can manualy backup root and MyDocs...i used:
"tar -cz" for this... then put it on pc...then reflash then extract on phone again.
ps: didn't made backup of root, but in theory it should work because error is caused somewhere in /home/user/

I also suffer from this bug and use MeeSeePics. In some sense slow but better than flashing.

this is just insane...
I cleared my phone, it took almost 20 min, restored backup from Nokia Link and Gallery app still doesn`t work properly...
I can see the pictures taken by the phone in it, but no matter if I try Nokia Link sync or copying pictures in mass storage, the Gallery is still empty...
Pictures folder in Filebox is empty, too, if I snap, sync or copy any picture it`s saved in home/user/MyDocs/DCIM...???
I`m seriously thinking it`s all because the Nokia Link backup/restore is messing things up...what`s another way to back up my contacts, messages, docs, notes, passwords, etc...so I can clear the phone again but without Nokia Link`s restore tool then?

well I just flashed my N9 with rootFS.bin + emmc.bin, complete erase and once I restored from Nokia Link, the Gallery is down again...I had no other option as I needed my messages, contacts, notes, passwords and stuff...
so itīs definitely crappy Nokia Linkīs fault...

what exactly is a clean backup? I donīt see nothing like it in my Filebox...

is there any real workaround of this gallery-not-showing-anything pickle? I have a brand new Cyan N9 (swapped with my former white N9), the initial FW in it was PR1.0, I have updated OTA as I instantly got the memo once I turned it on...everythingīs fine, did restore from Nokia Link (which Iīm concerned could be THE problem, damn it Nokia), downloaded all the apps I had before (as Nokia Link canīt do a backup for those) and **** it, the gallery app is still empty...of course, all the pictures are in home/user/MyDocs/Pictures...I tried to snap something and check it in gallery, itīs still empty...
I have no problem flashing the phone, Iīm just kind of annoyed by installing all the apps over again...
