I call vaporware and hope to be wrong. But there should be a huge easy access to experience core personnel. However, you don't build a phone on software alone.

Why not? It doesn't hurt anyone, but makes it easier to sell the device to a larger group of people?

It's a win-win for a small start-up manufacturer.

Aava mobile could be nice. Some their designs have been quite good looking.

This post will probably make everyone here hate me but I'll write it anyway.

Merproject people can't get things done. The best they can do is to put out something thats half broken or at least anoyingly wrong designed and the worst thing is they attitude because they can't admit their errors.

While the first part could be fixed with a better project Management, the second part not and it even prevents the first part and dooms the whole thing.

I am also not going to discuss this. This is my opinion and I don't care if someone is butthurt over it.

Ohh cmon not again...

You do realize they first customers probadly is Linux geeks? Not mainstream competitor because if that was they case they for sure would be killed by Nokia in a week?

This is about FOSS not about making a device for billion customers.

Atleast how I see on this.

Hi;
I am kind of new but been following the Maemo since N900.

So, just to understand - JollaMobile is _not_ going to work on n9, right?

Who has done pr 1.3? Old MeeGo Team @ Nokia? But wasn't MeeGo team fired / let go / disassembled?

Im ..it's understandable that alot is changing atm;
also it would probably make sense to outsource N9 MeeGo development (read : pr 1.4).

What the hell is going on..

EDIT: also, do not forget that N9 has been added to Nokia's US web page -> might preempt a US distribution; this more and more gives reason for supporting Harmattan.

Has Nokia really been doing that much for the actual MeeGo system?

They write "Jolla continues Nokia's excellent work", but I thought MeeGo Harmattan isn't MeeGo at all?

MeeGo Harmattan == Meego Ver. Nokia; technically a Meego (I guess), but legally it's 100% owned by Nokia. Correct me if Im talking BS.
