I was about to report a similar profile not changing bug. Good that you are working on it already.

Also maybe I understand something wrong, but I have my default rule active at the same time as my "work" profile. I thought default rule would be active when no other rule was?

And If I haven't said it already, thanks for a great program and support!

It's fixed, but Nokia Store QA had some problems with it (that I can't reproduce). But hopefully out soon.

It's not the most intuitive... but basically ProfileMatic can have multiple rules active. Actions from rules that are first override actions from rules after them. So Default rule is always active, and if no other rule has set an action that Default rule specifies then the Default rules action is applied.

So even if there was a rule active that set profile to silent, but default rule had an action that set Availability to offline. In that case, even with another rule active, the Default rule's Availability action would be set.

I'm not sure if my explanation cleared it much but hopefully so. In summary, Default rule is always active but it is user's choice whether to set something there and whether other rules override Default rule's actions.

And If I haven't said it already, thanks for a great program and support!
Thank you!

Hello!

I use flight mode at night to save battery and prevent incoming messages to wake me up. I have a rule timed on 5.58-6.00 all days. It switches flight mode off and profile to silent, previous modes not restored. Then at 6.15-6.16 ringing is set on, not restoring previous mode. I don't know if this is due to already known bug or is there something wrong with my phone, but sometimes at the morning my phone is still at fight mode. This seems to happen roughly 1-2 times a week.

Another thing that puzzles me is about setting mobile network mode by location. I often visit a place, where the GSM network is very hard to reach, but strangely 3G networks works fine. So I set my phone to dual mode by location. I would like my phone to switch back to 2G when leaving. I could do it by running 2g3g on shell when deactivating, but this will end an ongoing call or data transfer. Another obvious way wold be to set an idle time condition, but this would make me unable to leave my phone on any othed than GSM mode when wanted. Is there a better solution?

Hi
Could you make a translation project on Transifex so everyone can help in translating your application into other languages ?

What about the profile between 6.00 - 6.15, does it switch to silent or does that not change either?

With the current version, I think the best thing to do is put to Default rule to set to 2G (if that's what you usually use). Doing it like that it will switch to dual in the area you specify and back to 2G when out of it.

I should implement restore switch to 2g/3g/dual action also. But Default rule works well in these kind of cases also.

Nice site. I'll mark that down for future use.

But the problem is, ProfileMatic is not at all translatable at the moment. It needs many code changes before that is possible (the strings are hardcoded). So until I do that, there can't be other languages.

I'd definitely prefer a restore switch.

I'm not sure, is there a log file where I can find out?

EDIT: just found out, that switching to silent mode doesn't work either in the case described earlier.
