You got it wrong. Its f****** pretty, and its cheaper than an iphone. It has facebook/twitter/skype integration. So yes, it will sell. At least compared to WP7.

Why battery can't be removed? Design had higher priority. Naturally, care and maintenance centres know how to their job... nothing to worry.

As far as user replaceable battery goes: please note the long thread about broken usb ports on the n900. One cause of this is that users are always charging via the usb port rather than swapping batteries.
