I must start by saying... I am a tool.

Somehow locked myself out my N900 unable to boot past - Enter lock code -

Changed the code myself from the Nokia default after too many appletinies a while back.

I can follow the JTR instructions but cant find any way of getting to the terminal unless I maybe flash the Fiasco and I'm not 100% that would even work. There is no remote access or backup....

Also if nuking the phone is the only option, I'm guessing the most important things can be recovered like media. music/videos/contacts etc

Any advice is appreciated

Attatched is a screenshot from ebay and if needed I can take a photo of the box. which is now the final resting place for my old N900.

If anyone needs to find the unlock code, there is John The Ripper for Windows users. You just have to navigate to John The Ripper run folder in the Windows CMD and write the same commands.

Those guys with one post asking for cracking their lock code look very suspicious to me.

man im in dakar at the moment and the guy who repaired my broken usb-port seemed to alter the standard code. now i just try to get anthing to work and unfortunately im just noobie making his first steps with his on ebay bought n900.

may sound suspicious but is the truth.

i flashed it already etc. but didn't work. problem is that i have cam problem without fcam. i just want to reset it.
