Don't let them fob you off with the 10% clause as, in effect, they are penalising you for not 'abusing' the Fair Usage Policy by consistently staying below 500Mb.

You replied to who this morning?
I'm still waiting 2 months after first asking to be cancelled for any answer from them

The only thing I've had is the pac code which I didnt actually ask for.

well they seem to have changed their minds , their first response from vodafonedirectorsoffice@gb... said i could not cancel.

I replied saying i was not happy - and offered an analogy that if a Vodafone supplier changed their T&Cs which ended up costing Vodafone more money they would not accept the change and that it was convenient for them to use my previous months bill ( in previous i had exceed 500Mb. )

I'm not sure my analogy won the argument, but i received a 2nd email today from customer.care with a PAC saying i can cancel and keep the equipment. different departments saying different things ?

... GiffGaff Sim on the way, I'm taking this last email as enough to cancel.

Now do i cancel my DD after i transfer the PAC code , then phone VF for a final bill, i guess the worry is that I transfer PAC, which in turn cancels my contract - and then i get a bill for 14*£30

I got this email back, not sure what to do now.....

If you exceed 500 MB limit earlier we used to charge 50p for 25 MB on daily basis, however, the term and conditions has been changed and from now onwards you'll receive the SMS from our end to intimate you that "you're exceeding your 500 MB data usage" so that you can control your usage.

Just to let you know that if still you exceed the 500 MB data usage by 0.01 KB, you'll be charge £5.00 and get 500 MB for the rest of the month.

We’ve always had a fair use policy but in the past haven’t charged our customers for going over their bundles. We’re introducing these charges to make it fairer for everyone, and to protect our network from data abuse.

Real-time notifications will be completely transparent about these charges helping customers to make decisions about what they want to spend. Web pack bundles that contract customers can add to their contract (for use in the UK) range between 500MB and 1GB.

500MB of data means you can read and reply to 10,000 emails, download 24 Google maps and read 8,000 BBC News stories. Today, only a tiny fraction of our customers use their full allowance.

You can check your usage and balance at any time by calling 191 free from your phone then choosing option 1 then 1 and a text message will then be sent to your mobile, showing how many minutes and texts you have remaining for the month.

Alternatively, you can just call 44555 free from your mobile, then:

Press 1 to see how many inclusive minutes you have left.

Press 2 to get your balance and the date of your last bill.

Press 3 for a summary of your phone use (data and messages).

We'll then text this information to you.

There is a delay of upto 24 hours for the calls and other usage to be updated on our system.

We require a 30-day written notice for the cancellation of a pay monthly contract.

If you wish to cancel your contract before the commitment completion date you will be charged an amount of £207.56 as an early termination fee as of today. This will be your line rental until the completion date of your commitment period.

If you accept the charge, you need to call us on 191 from your mobile phone or on 08700 700 191 (charged at the national rate) from a fixed phone line choosing option 1 and then option 2. One of our advisors will accept the payment and will schedule for the cancellation of your contract.

If you wish to cancel your contract at the end of the commitment period, you will not be charged an early termination fee.

You will receive your final bill at the usual time after your number gets cancelled and please do not cancel your direct debit until your final bill has been paid. This bill will include the line rental and usage charges until the cancellation date of your contract.

I trust the above given information helps with regards to the cancellation of your contract
Any advice peeps?
