And it's not only the UK market, Apple pretty much has that pricing policy everywhere outside the US (Correct me guys if I'm wrong).
That is why I don't understand the (speculated) price of the N9. It's like Nokia is trying to force customers to choose between a (absurdly) overpriced non-US iPhone 4, or the latest (absurdly) overpriced last-release iPhonesque N9.
But hey, for 250 euros I'd buy it in a second.

Thanks. That's for Verizon (CDMA) and Sprint (CDMA) whereas albeit different frequencies, T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM,
1700/2100 for T-Mobile, 850/1900 for AT&T.

You are correct, you can also see it listed here in the required features list: http://wiki.meego.com/Quality/meego_core_feature/1.3
Makes me wonder - given the C7 (astound) was released on T-mobile, will we see any other networks? Luckily i'm not too familiar with the american vendors - apart from their absurd contract lengths and prices (not as bad as those poor old canadians though, eh? *chuckles*)
Also, weren't Sprint considering a buyout of t-mobile? that could put a few more stumbling blocks in the way...

Well, it's like the Nokia N8 here in Italy, it costs 600 euro's unlocked at a brick and mortar, while the Samsung Nexus S unlocked costs 500. Their pricing just doesn't make sense and I feel it's because they're still living in a time when the Nokia brand could command a premium instead of competing on functionality, specs and other merits.
Of course, this could just be the store adding to the price since the MSRP was supposed to be around 400 euro's but I have yet to see an N8 for that price.

End of the day, the N9 appears to be a very "average" phone to both the enthusiasts that have loved the N900 for these past few years as well as the general public. Very much in "neither here no there" territory.
