Here's a short demo of the new QML implementation:

It shows the new search dialog and switching between list view and coverflow view when browsing videos. I will be adding some transitions for switching between windows before the first release.
The video was recorded using the QMLViewer recording feature.

I rarely (I'd say never) install apps from extras-devel, but this new version of CuteTube I will for sure, to contribute in the testing.
I hope you finish CuteTube soon, so you can start creating another app
