EUR 480 16GB and EUR 560 64GB BEFORE taxes, wow this is expensive and Europes pricing is way way above Asia's.

I just got confirmation they are on the way too but the costing i got is a LOT lower than Europes.

Cool! Still a bit weird that all the SDK's and software seem to be still in beta, and the device is now shipping.

Price seems to be rather high. EUR 480 and EUR 560 before applicable taxes or subsidies. In my case that would be + 19% VAT:
571,20 euros and 666.40 euros.
very similar to the N900 pricing when it was first released: 600 euros.

So people will have the devices next week I suppose. Looking forward to the reviews

Actually, the difference isn't that big
Iphone 4 is 599 euros for 16GB and 699 for 32GB

So if you compare the 16GB version it is:
571,20 euros for N9 and 599,- euro for iPhone 4

less then 30 euro difference, not that much.
(the iPhone prices are from the Dutch Apple site for a simlock-free device including VAT, the N9 price is including Dutch VAT)

Just got an SMS from my operator Elisa.
According to it, they will have N9 for sale in their stores starting on 13th of October.

Starting from 3rd of October they also seem to have a llama costumed person in 5 different cities in Finland, and finding him will net you an N9 immediately

So, some availability from next monday, and wide availability from 13th (for this operator)

I hope to get it next week, and i'd gladly put it to the test.. I guess it's only fair to put lossless vs lossless. And they'll have to put up with fairly high impedance headphones (300 ohms)as well as a regular pair (50 ohms).

I can tell you already now, that the iphone isn't going to output very loud on the 300 ohms, but who knows what the N9 will do? N900 is at least capable of giving fine listening levels even at half power in 300 ohms. When i measured, the N900 was around twice the voltage of optimus 2x, when playing a sine.

That said, i'll be willing to make a purely subjective test of the sound quality, both compared to the iphone and the N900 if you want me to?

How will you get your N9 in the Netherlands still no trace of the phone.
I'm a N900 user and would to have the N900 as my follow up phone..

N900 kicks iPhone's *** in sound quality when listening to music.
