He said when i call it just comes up as i normal call not a video call nor the option to see my video. And he cannot video call me same thing his call just comes up as normal call.
Sure the Skype Video calling does work (under "ideal circumstances"):

-My N900 on Wifi and my windows desktop have an open video call for more than an hour and a half now. Slow and lousy video but stable nevertheless.
(As a matter of trying to crash PR 1.2 I am stressing it a little bit with Skype videocall - it takes almost 100 procent CPU.
Also the graphic display is showing artefacts (whit snow pixels on black area's) after an hour of full stress. This might be due to the graphic driver. I have noticed the graphic performance to be very quick since PR 1.2. Hehe maybe this PR 1.2 freezes the point where they had to experiment with over-clocking the graphic chip

-Videocalling to OSX Snow Leopard based Skype is not possible with my setup (video does not come up on Mac PC nor does it on N900
-To enable video in Skype calls: not always you have a video call option readily available next to an online skype contact, but you sure can select the video enable from the Skype menu on the N900 as soon as the voice call is established
-During the Skype videocall incoming GSM calls will receive an occupied tone and the N900 displays a message "missed call".

Is this a joke dude??? I hope you're just joking there.

Otherwise, i'm noting the sacrifice needed to get a firmware release. Was there a specific chants involved?

Could happen to anyone. I must admit that I cannot go to the toilet without it..
I have now invested in one 0,5 Euro wriststrap to prevent any likewise disaster.
However going into the wild and using 3G might also prevent a sh*tty thing to happen to the N900.

Your not missing on too much.. Honestly.
- Skype and Gtalk video calls are working as they wish.
- Portrait mode in browser works only 10% of the time. (was better in PR1.1.1)
- I don't feel a big improvement in performance.

Only things I really like now :
- More free rootfs
- Media player widget works.
- Volume control when phone is locked works.
- Long press = blue char

What I really like about it:
- Phone app now works properly as portrait mode. (no irregular auto-switching)
- Much more free rootfs.(90MB free with many apps and all repo's enabled)
- No more "More" icon in the lancher menu.
- HAM improvements. (type to search, update all button, no delay after uninstalling an app)
- No SMS option on non-mobile numbers.
- Seems to use less cpu during idle. (only Xorg uses like 3-4%)
- mscim + mscim-hangul (korean) input works better.
- Multi-tasking seems more responsive. (dunno. it just does)

What I don't like:
- MicroB is a little more buggy imo. Buttons don't always show up.
