My 'local' post office (I live in a city centre, so there is no one local office that would always deal with my mail) would not even speak to me if I couldn't give them a Royal Mail registered parcel ref # they recognise - I don't have one (and I don't know if one ecen existed, I have no info on who the local carrier was).

As the Chinese tracker does state that final delivery was made, clearly their local agent HAS delivered it to somebody, just not me :-(
If it was shipped via China Post the tracking number should work in Royal Mail's tracker.

Could be it was shipped by another carrier (EMS/DHL/UPS/FedEx/???). On which Chinese website are you able to track the package? I think for normal China Post the tracking is done on intmail.183.com.cn

I just want to mention that "Army [whatever]" got many stores on Aliexpress, most of them with negative feedback (one even is named "Army <surname> - i don't remember that surname now). I suppose that when one account is filled with negative reviews, he switch to another, don't even caring about disguising himself - probably, aliexpress doesn't care.

I discovered this quickly when deciding from which seller should i buy - so remember to always give some attention into proper offer filtering by yourself. Don't only look at feedback ratio, but also how many feedback seller have ie. for many transactions per month. Don't try to save 2$ by buying from suspicious looking seller - for example, 6 transactions per month, even with 100% positive feedback. You may be getting into first wave of scammed buyers.

Yes lots of scammers out there, not just aliexpress, i have been in many fights with ebay and ebay sellers, in my opinion ebay and aliexpress don't do enough to stop bad sellers.

Ebay should just make one little change, if a sellers product gets flagged as fake/counterfeit then that product cannot be sold and this should happen eminently, and afterwards get top priority at ebay HQ.

And they should have a sample process when sellers want to sell battery's and memory products (SD-Card, USB-Sticks etc)

In my experience, Mugen waited until I was actually expecting to receive the cover, THEN I finally received a message saying that they only sold that item to customers and essentially asked me for an invoice or other proof.

At first I couldn't come up with proof, and reported that here. I had bought the big battery from them, so I thought they should know I was their legit customer, but they didn't.

But eventually I remembered I had made the purchase with PayPal, and did find proof.

I sent that to them, they apologized and completed the order.

I also complained a lot. I hope that they have realised that selling things is good, not bad, but I doubt it.

Indeed I do!, everyone needs an elf to kick when required! Actually, I saw the typo soon after creating my sig, but left it cos I thought it helped tone down the pomposity :-) Seriously of course I do blame myself - I'm normally pretty thorough when researching pre-purchase but I foolishly thought that the good guys in this thread had, on this occasion, done all the spade work for me & I could press on without fear. My mistake :-)

Tracking is indeed via intmail.183.com.cn, whose website says it was delivered (on a day when I was NOT home), after an unnsuccessful delivery attempt the day before (when Iwas home all day).

I have a 13 char (alphanumeric) ref # from China Post which has the correct format (9 digits topped & tailed with 2 letters, last two being CN for china), but which it isn't recognisd by Royal mail's tracking website ("sorry, There is no data currently available for this tracking reference. Please try again later.").

I didn't think to try the royal mail website until long after the China post tracker claimed it had been delivered, so I don't know whether that error message is because the item is now flagged as delivwered, or whether it is actually a bogus ref #.

Anyway, like I say I've given up chasing - buying goods from China via a 3rd party website was a bit of an experiment for me, I figured if I lost $13 it wouldn't break me. I've now got a UK supplied battery + desktop charger and I'm going to chalk up the chinese scud to experience :-) Thanks for your attempts to help though, appreciated.

really sorry for the crappy sellers on aliexpress, i will still say nothing comes close to what the scud battery offers.

Maybe one day the world will be a better place and there will be no scammers..... um my mind drifted of for a second there, year like that's ever going to happen.......

But i really think it sucks that i have to used a ton of time trying to do research on if i can buy from this seller/site or that seller/site.....
