How are the icon backgrounds removed?
Can it be done "easily" to other themes, manually.
Also some of the fonts that I have on my n900 are by default too big to use, can the font size me changed at all?

rm -rf /usr/share/themes/YOURTHEMEDIR/images/ApplicationShortcutApplet.png
For font size changing; you need to manually tweak the values in this file:
/opt/plastic-schemes/SCHEMENAME/gtk2.0/gtkrc
If you browse that file down you'll see the font names and sizes after them. DO NOT CHANGE THE FONT NAME HERE, USE THE PLASTIC THEME SETUP FOR THAT.
After you've changed what you want to change, just run the Plastic Theme Setup again.

Yeah, update would overwrite those.
But I notified the developer of fapman to change the background-behaviour so it would take the actual desktop-image instead of theme's image. Maybe he will change that in future update
And about that file-dialog to use own images; it's doable quite easily, but then again the user's image should be in right format (png) and sized properly already to be fully functional. I have no idea what would happen if user tries to set image which has wrong dimensions etc. So propably I'll leave the "heavy" customizing for power users who will do it manually.
Yeah, propably the maenotify does some caching it's own, dunno. But what do you need the maenotify for with PR1.2? I though maenotify only adds notifications to lockscreen which now comes with PR1.2 automaticly? Or does it do something else usefull also?
so I can just deinstall maenotify ... cool.

Concerning maenotify: there seems to be a problem when a theme gets installed after installation of maenotify.
Furthermore there is a problem with maenotify itself, consuming too much battery, that's why I removed it even if it should have some very cool addons.

once you have opened your Plastic theme setup, you should see the Font title with a blank field next to it?
Ok, if you click on that field (for me, more towards the right hand side) a new window should open with font options.

@D-livil epic epic epic epic theme continuously getting better and better there is absolutely no need for any other theme now that this one is so friggin diverse!!!!! tell you what would be amazing if you integrated some ability to select the battery icons, cell signal and wifi signal other than that absolutely perfect many props!
