* 3hours battery time
* USB-C charging is alpha state and I am not suprised since USB charging is more complex beast than USB2 and I am not sure they can just fix that easy...
* cellular network doers not work
* BT does not work.
* Camera does not work

"It doesn't fell ready yet" REALLY!?
I don't understand the problem. Doesn't it improve security if camera, bt, and phone doesn't work. Also, hard to hack a phone if battery is dead! This is all by design. It is working perfectly!

It is not clear to me that Chestnut was shipped. Most of the thread seems to complaints about misconceptions concerning VAT payment.

EDIT: I stand corrected. I just got an email from Purism folks that said Chestnut was released last week. Not sure why their website was so quiet about it. Maybe still many issues..

I assume you also bought the phone. Did you try to get a refund?

Very good they do that. Would you please let me know how you exactly went about this. I'm a little on the fence about it but leaning towards canceling.

Hi mscion, as I also cancelled my preorder a couple of months back I might as well tell you.

You simply write an e-mail requesting cancellation of your preorder. I also included the order number, date of pre-ordering and the last 4 digits of my creditcard (for verification and to speed things up). That's it.

They're very fast too, I think I had my money back within a week.

Heard back from a Purism. They will send refund within next few weeks. Sort of feel a little guilty because I like to support this kind of product development but my use of this phone would be very limited for a wide variety of reasons.
