My thanks to the developers. I've just been playing with the new Opera Mobile version on my N810, and so far it seems very compelling!

Well, you can always disable GPS in the settings and only use cell tower and/or WiFi.

That "feature" was actually considered a bug and fixed by the UI team.

As others have pointed out it indicates that the browser is still active loading a page, it's intended to warn against battery drain surprises if you happen to leave it on a page that auto-reloads itself or similar.

If it continues blinking even though the browser is completely idle, then it's a bug.

I'm having some trouble with mobile.twitter.com.
Opera totally crash when I try to enter that site.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I have to say I love the update though

Thanks!

Will we be seeing the "Share" feature on the Maemo version anytime soon? It's one feature I would love to have and would probably get a lot of use!
This integrates with the native send/share features in Android and Symbian. I have not yet investigated if there is something similar in Maemo to use.

Nope, this version was built using the PR 1.3 SDK. I upgraded scratchbox by mistake. If anyone knows how to get back to an older version I'm very interested.

That's because the website is doing browser sniffing and redirects you to their mobile version. Another site we often get complaints about is engadget.com, but it's out of our control.
