I am currently re-building the qspot package, I will notify when it should be available. It might be the reason why installation currently fails

QSpot version 0.9.9-3 is now available from extras-devel, and the project garage page. This is the first version based upon the official libspotify API, and it should now be possible to add offline support soon in a forthcoming version.. This version already caches metadata such as playlists, and also tracks that have been listened to (which means that in case you listen to the same track again, no data transfer will be necessary). Changelog:

* Moved to the official libspotify API (version 9).
* Added support for seek within track (by pressing progress indicator).
* Added Log Out function to main menu (logs out the current user, removes possible stored credentials and closes the application).
* Change of preferred bitrate does not require restart of QSpot anymore.
* Updated the About dialog (powered by Spotify(R)core logo added). Note: Version in about dialog incorrectly states 0.9.9-2.

Hope you will like the update!

Unfortunately I still get the same error as earlier.

I have just updated catalogs and upgraded applications in Fapman, including new version of Qspot. Installed without any problems. So the problem Zekahz is describing isn't affecting all of us.

Thanks for the update aenbacka, appreciate it! Can't wait for the offline support...

requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
qspot: Depends: libspotify (>= 9.1.32) but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

The libspotify library is present in extras-devel non-free repository (due to no source available), while QSpot is in extras-devel free.Have you the catalogs configured correctly so that fapman can find libspotify, i.e., do you have components 'free non-free' configured for extras-devel?

Initialy, the program got stuck loading my playlists after the upgrade. So I removed it, did a reinstall and the problem persisted. Then I logged out and manually in again and then it worked!

Besides the in track searching option, I got the impression that the track skipping is also going smoother. Thank you for your continuing effort Aenbacka!
