*facepalm* Now I know why nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d was showing nothing
Think the harmattan-dev repo's* a culprit too, in light of all this other stuff we're finding out that's down etc.
*unless that's one of the domains listed in one or more of these 2 source files, will check it all out later, bed time.

Zoom would be nice. Perhaps different views as well (ex. radar and satellite) and maybe hourly update intervals instead of huge hourly gaps between screenshots. Is that do-able? Thanks for the response

I gave one more try to applet/auto-update feature. As you may remember 2 attempts showed battery drain caused apparently by mapplicationext process. This time I still see battery drain, but only in certain conditions. It looks like update functionality drains battery when there is no internet connection. Normally I have 2 updates a day (morning and evening) which uses home WiFi and no drain happens. However, when I was out during those times or my phone was in PSM I saw significant increase of idle power. So, it looks like update functionality constantly tries to run update and constantly fails due to absence of internet connection.I think there should be a way to hook to "connection available" event if connection immediately unavalable and just not trying to run update constantly.

I have noticed that the weather forecast for Paris (France) using 'the Weather channel' do not show anymore hourly information. Other town in France seems to provide such info but not 'Paris'.
Is it a problem in the application (some temp file to delete maybe) or in the source of data? I am pretty sure that it used to work.
thanks
