vitaly_repin : Have managed to sort out the MfE issue. Seems that the exchange server was in a bit of an unusual state

We rebooted the server, did a full resync and it's all ok. (Although I now have tasks grrr!)

Thanks for all your help and assistance

Thanks for the link but I'm the reporter for that bug

I open mail application only once - during the device start-up. N900 is good with multitasking. That's why I prefer to keep the modest opened all the time. So, the idea is good but sounds like a minor improvement for me.

It appears that I can only open one instance of Modest at a time, but I have two e-mail accounts (Personal + Work). Checking both means switching back to the account selection screen regularly, and it's not apparent from there which, if either, has new messages.

As far as open source goes, the current state of the Maemo servers deters me from trying to figure things out. Maybe after the upgrade

I have a N900 that without the ability to synchronize with ME 2003, is not useful to me.
It would be desirable that Nokia is committed to setting a date for this problem and end this discussion

This is not a bug. This is missed feature. It is added in PR1.1 release. It was distributed to selected users in this forum and it was confirmed that Exchange 2003 works in that update.

Hi,

so what does qualify one to receive this PR1.1? I am after all working for a half-Nokia subsidiary.. and desperately need 2003 connectivity:-(

Also I do volunteer to consider writing a 3GPP GBA client for Maemo..

Sorry, can someone explain, I have version 1.2009.41-11, how can i install mail for exchange with server version 2003? Is it possible at this time, or still not?

Thanks.

Hi Vitaly (privet!),

Is there any ETA on PR1.1 release? I really need Exchange 2003 working.

Cant Nokia release a PR1.0.2 update, just including the Exchange 2003 fix?

Wait for the 18th of January, I am not 100% sure but at this day you should have a good chance to see PR1.1.
