thought there was a thread specific to power kernel but struggling to find it.

anyway assume the power kernel maintainer(s) are in here and just wondered if they could add the snd-usb-audio module or even just post a link to it.
i wish to use it along with mpd in order to use phone to play music to usb snd card without interfering with the rest of the phones sound setup.

thx in advance

great work so far, well insanely great work !
im waiting for my f-f usb adapter to turn up then i can truly have some fun
was thinking [ although almost impossible] wouldn't it be amazing for an n900 via host mode [if the software was made] to rip a dvd and convert it
yes i know it would take a lifetime to do, uttlery pointless but it would be the first phone in the world to do so?

Any chance to be able to enumerate device without turning on vbus? I guess it could be useful for mains powered hubs and would allow to charge the phone at the same time... Sorry if this has already been asked but thread got a bit longish now.

Thanks!

Right. The link to the script is mentioned in the original post, as are the 2 simple xterm command, and the sequence

@joerg_rw Sorry, call me blind, but where is the link to the script and the xterm commands? Maybe I misunderstand what you mean by the 'original post' but I'm not finding them.

Also, regarding all that strict sequencing of plugging in, setting hostmode, etc., what is the worst case scenario if you get that wrong? (I don't want to damage my N900 because I get home from the pub and decide that I need to charge in host mode right now!)

Sorry to clog this thread, but I'm still looking for the scripts booston, boostoff and bq27200.sh Have I gone mad as well as blind?

booston, boostoff come with h-e-n GUI
bq27200.sh is NOT needed, I just used it to show about charge state (to be found on shadowjk's enivax.net site as well, if you're interested)

charger script is the one of ShadowJK: http://enivax.net/jk/n900/charge.sh.txt

the relevant commands are colored red. Particularly they are

Code:
boostoff
charge.sh
[ctrl-C]
charge.sh
(all the rest - like logger, bq27200 - is just to show what's going on)

the script charge.sh(.txt) I renamed to charger, so the above sequence looked a bit different in my OP

There's of course *no* risk in trying this, otherwise I'd have stated that in BOLD.
Worst thing that can happen is you cause hostmode to quit, so your attached peripheral gets "unmounted".

sorry for the confusion
