In Australia, there is this site selling what is claimed to be, new n900.
TigerMobile (that also trades as FastMobile) (I believe they only ship locally).
The reviews for them are very discouraging, many being upset about lengthy waiting periods for delivery after placing order/payment.
Some say they ordered iphones advertised are new, that ended up being refurbished, as well as refund troubles.
I messaged them through their website form, asking whether they can provide anymore details about there stock (hardware revision, where it is sourced), with no reply as yet.
Has anyone dealt with then before? Worth the risk?
There is a phone number I can try ringing, anything particular I should ask (they would probably say, it's on a top self in our warehouse, I'm not going to go through the trouble of looking/opening a box)?
I'll have to do some legal research first, if I decide to give them a go, in case they do turn out to be fraudulent.

Perhaps we need a bold giant florescent flashing header in Caps. for the Buy and Sell section with 3 short basic points.
1- THERE IS NO SUCH THING (5+ years on now) AS A "NEW 770 / N8X0 / N900" - ANY ONE / ENTITY CLAIMING TO SELL THEM IS ALSO SELLING BRIDGES AND RAINBOWS...(and possibly unicorns...so if they do... buy one for me too...). UNLESS IT HAS BEEN HIDING UNOPENED UNDER SOMEONES BED FOR HALF A DECADE +.
2- ASIAN SELLERS ALSO OFFER "NEW" N900's ..
AVOID THESE FAKES LIKE THE PLAGUE..(or at least until the
fakes get better than our n900's
)
3- PLEASE...BY ALL THAT IS HOLY...
ALL YOU NEWMO's (I just created a new term for the maemo subspecies of newbie maemoan!
Please members...refer in future to all such new peeps as "NEWMO" or "NUMO" instead of the politically incorrect "newbie", "noob", or "rutabaga"..) ...sorry I'm laughing alot at this moment..

PLEASE READ REQUISITE THREADS PERTAINING TO FRAUDULENT DEVICES...AND REQUISITE THREADS CONCERNING (ASKING SELLERS ABOUT) USB PORT or CAMERA or TELEPHONY or OTHER KNOWN POTENTIAL ISSUES WHICH SAID "FOR SALE" DEVICE(S) MAY HAVE WHICH THE SELLER HAS NOT DISCLOSED. (caveat emptor eh? REMEMBER: ask the pertinent questions to the seller)
(Actually I do truly hope that no one pays the least bit of attention to any sane advice...since it would ruin a great deal of fun I have if Newmo's did their due-diligence...)
