I can back this up with video in a day or so. I'm seeing it and find it odd as heck. Again, I'm on the N810, 2008 - .19 release - and that's like the one site in my links that doesn't seem to load right.

It's sad when my 770 loads it faster. Starting to look like I'm going to have to do something about the browser. Any ideas on how to REALLY clear everything out, start anew... browser only?

Awesome speed.

How scientific.

Ever thought that it's a different issue? Allow me to tell you my settings. You've not included yours, but I'll do so since we're discussing "bugs" now, not opinions as the prior has only been limited too all of a sudden due to your vitriol infused post.

5mb Cable modem, easily measured and confirmed. Check.
Gizmodo.com via desktop - 4s at the slowest in Firefox, Opera and IE7. Check.
Gizmodo.com via 770 - 12s for first bit of information. Check
Gizmodo.com via N810 - 8s for title, 68s for entire site. Check.
N810 has 4096 cache for browser, Password Saving(s) enabled, Accept Cookies set to "Always", 128mb for system, JavaScript is enabled. Check.
Adblock removed, Privoxy turned on. Check.
Privoxy removed from connection, retried, still a delay from HTML Title grab to site render. Difference neglible. Check.

Now. Here's where things can be different between what YOU see and what I'M seeing... since you have a hard time understanding the previously stated.

I'm not caching cookies, it seems. Others are not having a problem with this. Others are pulling up that one site without incident.

What that sounds like is an issue with the machine. I've not reported one browser crash. In fact, that's being introduced by your rhetoric, not mine. Don't confuse things. See below.

It takes some of my time but I'll go on until my browser crashes. Then I'll shut up.
You added this, I have not. State to whom you're discussing because you've quoted me, thus implicit you've continued to discuss what I've said.

Clarify.

It's not FUD or any other ignorant clumping/classification when it's opinion that's not trying to lead others to think anything other than that it's a stated opinion.

Attack somebody else.

Hmm, might have found my culprit.

Set Cache to 0, went to about:blank, cleared Browsing History, Cookies, and Passwords without a problem. Tried to do so with the Cache and it returned with "Some cache items are in use and cannot be deleted."

I wouldn't fully quote me on that. I can easily be very wrong.

No. It doesn't. A backup file that's 3.9mb in size will not have all of my data backup. It will have my settings. To me, that's merely an incremental backup, not a full backup.

I'd label that lacking. Thank goodness I've been through this update/re-install activity enough times with my 770 that it's not even a factor any longer.
I'm not sure what "data" you're talking about, but anything in MyDocs gets backed up. If you don't have a lot of data there, or you unchecked those options, yes, your backup will be small. The application backup process is a lot better than it was with OS2005-OS2007 (in the same way as something > nothing, but still). Not perfect, but until we have a reliable package-based update method, it's what we've got.

I wasn't clumping anybody. If people have legitimate problems that they want help with, I'm always ready to provide it (see the "Thanked" section above if you want proof), but I'm not interested in overdosing on people's far-flung hyperbole because they like to ***** and moan.

I wonder if your load speeds maybe due to some interaction between your Wireless Power Save settings and your particular router (some are known to work better than others). The setting is in the Advanced section of your WLAN connection, try setting it off.

Tried to do so with the Cache and it returned with "Some cache items are in use and cannot be deleted."
Is there way to clear the cache without having MicroB running? I have set my home page to [blank] and get the same message.

Mostly browsing is fine but some sites, incl ITT, are troublesome and if clearing the cache can help I would like to do so.

Naw, I had to reinstall Skype and Gizmo Project for some reason with the default settings for the backup process... nothing removed.

I do agree though, the backup process is better than before.

Just was avoiding being clumped into the ***** and moan crowd because my opinion, while still positive and ok to wait for apps to enter into further beta/final... it's still not as glowing as some others.

And that comes from a person that actually said that the N810 was a great investment.

Any clue on the location of the browser cache though? not .osso_browser/cache like I thought.

Tried, some improvement actually. 48s - thanks for the pointer.
