The N800 is so dirt cheap these days that it's definitely worth getting now (especially if you can find one used).

Then you can get yourself an N900 when it comes around around the end of this year and use the N800 as a backup/couch computer.

Thanks Guys!

I will probably joining the ranks then this weekend...TigerDirect has the N800 for $219 again.

I know I could get one at a better price used, but I kinda like the idea of having a warranty.

'nother question: as long as the sd card is sdhc it will work in either slot, right?

thanks again

i'd say skip this and wait for the N900. Bring back dual-SDHC's, and give me a faster processor (and hopefully a little better battery life), oh, and KEEP THE KEYBOARD.

WiMAX has nothing to do with Wifi. It is basically a cellular data service. So, pretty much, no.

I would love to wait for the next gen tablet too, BUT:

no specs (all speculations / wishes aside)
no price point (although given past releases I'm guessing at MSRP >$400)
too steep for me at this point
no release date (although I'd guess Sept Oct of this year)

and I have to get my feet wet eventually...better a decent late model than the headaches of the early adopter (not that I think it wouldn't be awesome)
