Edit: So I tried that and the file that bootmenu made looks exactly like the one above. And emelfm2 command I tried running it from a bunch of different directories don't know where I should run it from. And deleting the linuxrc file yelded no change in the results...
You need to run refresh-bootmenu.d as well after changing any .items.

Can you show me your /linuxrc on your deblet partition btw?

Yes... do not copy or change anything from maemo to deblet.. this already works. There is an echo command that is exactly the same as the echo command in maemo that you need to run to put the tablet into 'host' mode... search these forums for tablet USB host.. it's "echo host > " and some path that I can't recall off the top of my head but it's around here somewheres.

Run that command, plug in the USB keyboard.. and it works fine. I use it daily. (unless you have the OTG adapted.. that should still work as well)

Also can I connect to the internet using my n82 via bluetooth? Both connections work under maemo, are they possible with deblet?
Theoretically?? Yes

I have gotten it to pair with my Blackberry pearl .. but was never able to get the wvdial connection to actually work with it for DUN... I am not sure if this was a deblet; or a blackberry pearl problem.. the pearl works fine in maemo. I believe I needed to just change some things in the wvdial.conf .. I tried several combinations to no avail.

@cellphonedude:
Actually, you may need to replace mmcblk1p1 with mmcblk0p1; for some reason the bootloader seems to see the slots in reverse order from Maemo (apparently this happens when booted from mmc).
Does anyone know offhand whether the n810 supports master mode?

Only happens if you are booted into a SD card.. and not into flash. This was discussed earlier in this thread I think.

USB Mode?? Host mode? If that's what you meant.. read directly one post above yours..

If it's not.. what is "master" mode?

Sorry, meant wifi master mode, for use as an access point.
Edited previous post for clarity; it was directed at cellphonedude re: wanting to use the n810 to share his bluetooth connection over wifi.

Ohhh.. gotcha... Ya now - I haven't tried yet. Not sure if it's a driver limitation or a software one.. with Debian it should be possible to create an ad-hoc network but not sure if the driver will support it.. I'll see what I can figure out later.

Yeah, I may play around with it some myself. Ad-Hoc would probably suit cellphonedude's needs, but a managed network would be far more elegant.

Question, do all of you people with problems with booting Deblet, run your OS/Maemo off SD? (the mixed up mmc stuff was mentioned so that sounds like a reason)

oooh oooh mee!!! *raises hand*

Maybe you should just specify to install your deblet loader in Flash.. the only problem with that is I really like my flash to be "clean"... and your deblet installer has more dependencies than a sociopath.

Hah! Yeah, that is true. Shiny stuff takes dependancies :P
