Just make sure everyone has a parasail as they jump off the cliff, and it goes from being a disaster to great fun.
I usually TRY to belabour a forced metaphor.

Just a few questions for Penguinbait that I need answered before I could give him my vote.
You can keep your vote ZJ, I'm good
Penguinbait's work up to this point has been providing alternatives to the Maemo OS. How exactly does having someone who is so focused on replacing/getting rid of Maemo help Maemo as a whole?
Well this is factually inaccurate. I build and use software ON TOP of the maemo OS. I just replace the Hildon/Matchbox interface. "maemo" Linux is still the running OS. Unlike a chroot. Additionally the port of festival in spanish and working with gnuite to have maemo-mapper support it. Then mgmt-tools, install-tools, gparted, console-tools, cdrom tools, and many many more
How can Penguinbait faithfully represent the community that elects him if he, as you put it "often... ridiculed consensus views"?
Well this is some people's opinion, NOT a consensus, perhaps we should run a poll???? I don't believe I ridiculed views I believe I ridiculed decisions that were made without what I felt was a thorough hunt for input. Which in my opinion are not consensus views. Just because a few people comments in a thread this is not a consensus view. Nobody wants to actually vote on things. Some said I am the council and I was voted here for my beliefs and opinions and I represent the community, and I know what they want. Cool, "IF" I am elected I will assume the same role, I will use my beliefs and opinions to make my decisions and forge my ideas.
What kind of work is he planning on doing for Maemo if elected? What work does he plan on doing during his sprints? What are his goals in Maemo Community Council? Why does he want to run?
My goal if elected is to represent MY views in the council. To work to get more people involved in the direction of the community. To bring more visibility to what I believe to be important topics.

I think I have been QUITE vocal in the past about what things I see as issues and done my best to rally troops to help council see others points of view. Perhaps some would say I have stirred up controversy, hopefully this means I will get some of the input before the controversy needs to happen.
I compel nobody to vote for me, if you think I represent your views vote for me, if not, vote for someone who does, I think that is MOST important.

PB, I also apologize if I misstated your intentions and actions. I probably oversimplified to avoid a novel.
