Now I would say the crucial part would be to get scratchbox somehow integrated to QtCreator run/debug. It is a hassle to manually move the files to scratchbox and run it there and I don't know how to debug that way.

Btw. I like this VirtualPC stuff way better than VMWare. Much faster and easier to use (that 2.0 web-based console was horrible!).
QT Creator run is my next highest priority. I agree it would be very nice if QT could handle copying the source into the scratchbox, compiling it and then running it. I have several "ideas" on how to do it. I just haven't tried yet. :-D

I had couple of issuses with the vpc image, possibly because I'm a newbie in vpc and linux:
1) My mouse didn't work out of the box, virtual machine just couldn't capture it (MX518). I googled, and found this solution:
----------------
In /boot/grub/menu.lst
Replacing:
kernel …… splash
with:
kernel …… i8042.noloop
-------------------

And mouse works after that.

2) VPC image didn't have a network card setup. I had to go to preferences, and select vpc's network card as a first nic. Maybe it was like that by design, or something else... I used RC version available in here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/

Didn't have time to test anything else, yet.
Can't seem to get my mouse to work, could you clear up your solution? I'm using an MX 1100

Thanks!

This looks fantastic.

Flame me if this is a stupid question, but will this work in Parallels on a Macbook Pro?

I did a real quick google; and didn't see an easy method. You basically need something that will convert a VHD to whatever parallels uses as a HD.

we should have nokia post a link to this thread, or to the garage project for this kit.

You need to copy the url from the browser window (step 1) into the editor ( step 2) window. Unless you copy the Nokia binaries URL; it can't download the Nokia binaries. If I could legally include the url I would -- but I can't since it is behind a Nokia Eula wall, and I'm pretty sure Nokia would frown if I did that.... I wish I could it would simplify things a lot and eliminate the one place that "errors" can easily occur. ;-)

I've updated the wiki to try and give as much much info for the actual installation steps.

Nathan, Thank you for the wiki, great job.

My connection lost at 98% on scratchbox download (actually the firewall wasn't liking the alien pc inside pc). It started from the beginning, so deleted all vmc and vhd files and downloading all again.. don't know where it stores the downloads..
