Whoa whoa whoa whoa! Hold on, I'm having MAJOR stability problems with the installation on my second tablet of this latest packaged version!! I may have been a bit premature in releasing this... sorry everyone, until you hear further please be aware that 0.9.3 is UNSTABLE!!

only problem that I have seen so far is that the volume was left at 100% after turning the alarm off (which worked perfect, simple alarm).

Thanks for the warning.

I installed it and;

- The yellow color on the setting buttons (12/24 hrs; etc) makes them hard to read. I'd like some more contasting color, even just black,

- the lines, in night-mode, that are not 'lit' are way too bright, i'd even prefer if they weren't there at all,

-i find; for some reason, that sometimes it takes 3-4 clicks on an option before it responds, not sure why.

- was unable to set an alarm for a future date. i just had a 'thursday' button under the time settings. i prefered the old way of setting the alarm

- when i close down the app i get an 'insomnicac' mode message

- after having picked a tune/song for the alarm the file-browser window doesnt close, i have to cancel out of it

Thanks for working on this neat app.

Just as a general update I'm going to try to put out another update fairly shortly to rememdy things a bit. The big problem I was having was actually my test tablet running out of memory (too many apps installed!), but there is definitely still a small memory leak or two that I need to get cleaned up and just didn't have time to yet, so stability may be affected there. I also noticed a race condition that occurred where the app locked up but I haven't been able to reproduce that.. anyways, it's all in the works...

Now then...

Please see my announcement post, specifically this point:
# The fonts/colors for the buttons on the Clock Settings screen aren't right/consistent
This will be fixed to make them easier to read, just haven't done it yet.

Again this is an issue that I'm aware of, but it's been fixed as of about 5 minutes ago ;-)

Some buttons do take a bit of time to respond.. maybe just patience? if there are things that you are definitely clicking a few times on slowly, let me know specifically what they are...

You can set alarms the "normal" way by making sure the clock is in "Weekly" alarm style mode; the button for this is on the new Clock Settings screen.

- when i close down the app i get an 'insomnicac' mode message
This is normal; one day it may go away, but for now, normal behavior

- after having picked a tune/song for the alarm the file-browser window doesnt close, i have to cancel out of it
It's the standard tablet file browser, so don't know never had a problem with it?..

Thanks for working on this neat app.
Thanks for the feedback!!

Okay everyone sorry about that but I've got it all sorted out now, so preview II is back and ready to go! download it here:

https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa....3-3_armel.deb

If you had the "old" preview II you can upgrade simply by installing the package above. I'm still not sure what's going on with extras-devel as my package never seemed to show up, but we'll deal with that later...

A few quick points:
- I've fixed the night digits as they were driving myself, and everyone else, crazy.
- Fixed some other minor small bugs.

Looking for general feedback now on what you think, whether the thing crashes or not (and what you were doing/what happened that led up to the crash), and things that need improvement/fixing. The night theme needs to be updated and the buttons for the Clock Settings screen need to have their colours fixed; these things I know.

Thanks!

Jolouis, do we need to uninstall last weeks version first?

Nope, this one will automatically update/replace any previous version including last week's. Give it a shot and let me know, I've had this latest build running on two N800s here since about noon and have not had any issues yet...

Tintin, about this missing libsdl-gfx.1.2-4, here's how to get it:

- in Xterminal, type:
sudo gainroot apt-get install libsdl-gfx1.2-4

Jolouis, my N810 notified me via Application Manager that there's a flipclock update (0.9.3), so it seems that your packaging works

by the way, I installed the 0.9.3-3 via your link (and not via application manager):
