In theory, there are proper channels for this. Contacting the maintainer address directly or going through Ovi. I did both (via mail, with detailed instructions about the problems) to no response. So I guess there is not much else to do apart from a wiki page, but as a community member and OSS developer I'd like that not to be seen as Ovi/offscreen bashing so I'm unsure about the exact form. Would like an 'official' Nokia or council stance/procedure on this to avoid unnecessary toe-stepping or Ovi-Extras relations issues.

Just an FYI.. if you're looking for something specific it helps to add it to the title of the thread.. and if it's a specific request something like:

[request] QEEP or similar chat app for N900

Current title makes it sound a listing of apps wanted.. and there's about a dozen of those threads already. This makes it easier for people to find and identify the thread.

Go and tell it to qeep. They use a non-standard protocoll and a closed-source implementation. They must build an app themselves.

It's like cowbell. Sometimes you need more cowbell, another day you need more apps.

More apps! : )

I'll try something wearing the council hat.
Thanks for raising this issue.
