Anyone have anything to say about the performance of Chrome compared to the default built-in web browser?

Press ctrl and N to exit full screen.

Other ones are
ctrl and B for bookmarks.

There are others give it a try using the ctrl key.
Cheers

my review -

loading it up is super fast, its faster than microB and firefox.
1 problem i have found is that if you are not connected to the internet pages wont load as in it will not even attempt to connect therefore you must manually connect to the internet to browse.
chrome touch needs more work on it - scrolling is smooth however sometimes it doesnt know whether you want to click or your actually scrolling.
There is no way you can zoom in by using keys on your phone, the method is to go to the "control the currect page" however as the phones pixels are very good therefore viewing the page without zooming in is no problem.
you can open tabs which I really like so very helpful.
Browser slows down big time when there is flash- it hasnt crashed for me yet. so microB is still the browser when it comes to flash. it played a youtube video but loading took longer on it than on microB and firefox.
when loading a flash video you can not scroll at all, so it seems to freeze for a little, so youll notice that when it unfreezez your at the bottom of the webpage.
When going fullscreen there is no way to got back to normal view - so you actually have to exit then reload.
the actuall browser is optified however when installing extensions it takes up the memory, ie i installed tv chrome , my rootfs went from 58.1 mb to 55.8mb
downloading files is very easy its exactly the same as google chrome at your own desktop.

thats it. i havent checked anything else.

overall in comparison with microB and firefox -
its the fastest browser out of the three, loading the browser and loading pages is the fastest.
microB still is no.1 in my books as its more smoother and more user friendly right now. also it controls flash much much better.

I would say its better than firefox but still slightly behind microB due to user friendliness.

kind regards

Wow, very impressive. I immediately installed the addon Feedly (which puts your rss feeds from Google in an attractive layout) and the only problem I had was getting my user name and password into gmail. (a capitalization problem -- I had to copy and paste to get my password in, and even that wasn't easy for some reason).

Considering that the addons in MicroB don't work very well, this was a surprise and an accomplishment.

Not to post too much of a Me Too! post, but, I also found that it installed nicely, addons work nicely and it is fast. However, being a fifty year old with diminishing eyesight, the lack of zooming ease, like what microB has remains a downside, and I'll probably use microB for most of my browsing.

Now if the chromeTouch extension added zooming similar to the microB zooming, I might switch over to Chrome as my main browser.

Thinks to test. Gears.... Location ....

Similar usage to the above posters but my other thing is that the default flash plugin keeps crashing when trying to play flash videos.
I can't for the life of me find the realplayer plugin thats supposed to be installed as default.
Over all though very impressed nearly on par with microB and indeed in some areas better.

how many of you installed chrome and overlocked at the same time , feeling faster now ? I did not overlocked and get 80m rootfs but chrome runs really slow ......it crashed all the time and consume all CPU power .

just did a little quick test with the browser, played an iplayer programme "outnumbered" to be exact. when i clicked play it was very laggy, i then clicked on the pop up button, where it opens the video seperately as we were told by Dancairo, it played the video personally i believe better than microB, and it didnt crash.

im so happy about this.
