I gotta wait another 10-20 days for my phone! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT.

Be serious

I have finally manged to order one from somewhere within the last 5 mins and I have no intention of switching to something else. Most people are getting an n900 because it offers things that no other mobile does at the moment.
Dont get me wrong, Im fuming at the delay - I want my phone now, as my samsung i780 is on its last legs, but I wont switch to another model to get an inferior phone quicker.
The middle of novenmber just cant come quick enough for me...

Yep and imagine how awesome it will be if they KEEP delaying it - I mean if they push it back to say Jan 2010 it will be even better. Then all they have to do is push that back until March 2010 to get a better device.

I dont so much mind the delay until Mid Nov, but what really pisses me off is the complete lack of communication and updates to the Nokia site. For farks sake how hard is it to update a webpage.

For those who care the goddamn Nokia USA page is STILL showing End of October.

It kinda beats the point of even having a release date if your going to delay it 2 or 3 times...This last delay i hope is not because of something serious. I don't want a buggy phone. I don't mind it if i'll get a working phone with very little to no bugs, but if i get a mobile computer that has already been delayed 2 or 3 times and still has bugs, that would be a big problem....

Is that really an official Nokia announcement, or information from some thread/webnews/webstore? I ordered mine in day one (2nd septemper), and even then the release date was "Late october (possibily in week 44-45) in selected markets".

And now it is week 43.

That's why they never announce specific release dates.

Portrait modes, there have been several proposals filed at http://maemo.org/community/brainstorm/ and we have been as clear as possible reflecting the status of current plans. Check them.

Brainstorm proposals and not +400 posts threads are the right context to propose, vote and discuss features, implementations and target milestones.

So the DROID will probably ship before the N900.

Nokia messes up in the US all over again. If the DROID is released in Europe etc at the same time then I'll consider switching. Nokia is such a joke these days

Dont take my word for it, read the article below
