Hi guys please help me to unlock my n900.
I dont know how to use the john the ripper thing since my pc is windows7 64bit.
Here is my the root:hxQt1Ciq5CK0A:

1) Get usb stick, at least 1 GB in size.
2) Install Fedora Live 64bit to that USB stick.
3) Boot from USB stick.
4) Install the package "john". Activities > Applications > System > Add/Remove software
5) Open Terminal. Activities > Applications > System > Terminal
6) crack the key:
6a) $ echo "root:hxQt1Ciq5CK0A:" > /tmp/pw.txt
6b) $ john /tmp/pw.txt

// edit
And if stolen or lost device, after unlocking find out the device's owner with addressbook and return the device to the owner.

Or do you think it is so urgent dilemma you have to open a new tread?

At a glance I can tell you that nobody will be able to help you!
As your lock code provides only 12 chars. And it needs to contain exact 13 chars.
