+ featured extensions are working fine.
+ AdblockPlus works without complaint and is configurable in the same way as it does in the desktop version
+ youtube works fine

- Initial start takes more than 10 seconds - that's the most annoying thing for me
- If AdblockPlus is activated it takes some extra seconds
- scrolling stumbles if site is not rendered completely
- On screen keyboard does not work correctly - this was better in older releases, as Milhouse already wrote

I think the line there is IF its rendered completely. Just a couple of test I did on pages I often go to. All tests done over wifi.

Slashdot.org

MicroB: 15 seconds to render entire page
Fennec; 40 seconds

Engadget.com

MicroB: 18 seconds
Fennec: 2+ minutes - I gave up.

Add to that the fact that I can scroll the loaded content as it loads on Micro B and you have a far better experience with it over fennec.

Also I havent had any issues with adblock on MicroB. Perhaps just lucky.

Hmmm.. Installed Firefox and weaver and adblock. I installes fennec befoe on my N810. My secret phrase was again??? Took me a lot of time in trial and error. Not very 'intuitive' there. That's no problem, but the usage of the browser is: the loading time for each new page is not appropriate for me. MicroB got me spoiled apparantly. I saw some results form syncing Weaver with my desktop, it seems to work, at least in a way.. But using firefox? Crome on my PC is way faster IMO. Moreover, MicroB started to slow down as well!! Memory problems? I un-installed ff mobile, rebooted and MicroB is back to normal. Sorry I'll just stay with MicroB again...

[iīm using n900]
I donīt understand people praising MicroB speed. In my opinion itīs quite slow. It shouldnīt take more than ~5s to load for example slashdot.org.

btw.
Why it feels that scrolling and overall responsivness in microb (when page is loaded) is faster than scrolling in menus, pictures, desktops etc. When scrolling imagelist with thumbnails I can see tearing and its bit jerky.

..edit
Sorry for offtopic.

Um it takes me 6 seconds to load slashdot from pressing enter using firefox on my Quad Core desktop with 4gb RAM. So expecting Microb to do it in 5 seconds is a bit much dont you think?

How do you use Near Me? It's not like geolocation where it has its own window.

Even Google Latitude reports me in Texas. o.O. Makes me think it's a problem with Fennec itself.

Does it even work? I did not notice any performance benefit with Adblock. User error?

Something wrong with your computer? With my pentium 1,5Ghz 512mb after getting connection to page it takes about 1-3 seconds to render. Using windows xp sp3 and firefox 3.5.6

No it's not too much.

Takes me 3 seconds (or rather 3 Mississippi) on a Dual Core system with 1 GB of RAM (running latest 32 bit Ubuntu and a nightly build of Firefox).

It's probably more dependent on your internet connection if anything. Verizon DSL here.

I test from the moment I hit enter - not when the connection is established as the creation of the tab etc I consider part of rendering.

With Near Me, I drag my finger from dead area of the 900, on the "right", onto active area of the screen. This pulls up the menu bar, where Near Me has an icon (picture of the little house above the "settings" button)...click on it, and its "interface" opens. You can click on the preset searches "coffee, pizza, libraries, etc", or just type in your own.

You may be getting location wrong via "IP" becuase it seems like T-Mo has regional APNs. Internet2.voicestream.com has me making "speedtests" somewhere in Kansas. epc.tmobile.com gets closer, but its somewhere in New Jersey...I'm in Maryland.
