Using some symlink solution practically tripled my available rootfs space. Might stop the next update from complaining again.
Well, at least it's not Android where the default option on even a minor OS upgrade wants to wipe all your installed apps among other things.

Hi guys, really I don't understand...
I had problem to upgrade maemo because of few free memory in rootfs so:
1) I followed advices here http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space
2) I removed ALL apps
3) I deleted all repos with not optified apps (eg. maemo extras/devel and /testing..)
4) I reinstalled apps only from apps-optified repos
5) I used rewt's script page1 - #10 to see not optified apps in my rootfs
This is my actual situation:
from storageusage:
a) rootfs 67mb free on 227.9 used
b) from rewt's script:

Code:
adblock-plus-1.0 not optified
cellmo-watch not optified
decoders-support not optified
fiasco-flasher not optified
fm-boost not optified
gstreamer0.10-flac not optified
gstreamer0.10-flv not optified
gstreamer0.10-mkv not optified
gstreamer0.10-musepack not optified
gstreamer0.10-ogg not optified

rootsh not optified
sharing-fmms not optified
tracker-distutils not optified
tracker-extractor-vorbis not optified
wget not optified
wifi-switcher not optified
xournal not optified
Really I don't understand...
1) it's normal 67mb rootfs free?
2) why so much not optified apps?
3) why apps I installed from apps-optified repos, like xournal, rewt's script tells me as not optified?
4) why pyton if I've /opt/pymaemo?

That's not too bad.

Some of the packages exist only to pull in other packages, and don't install any files (such as python-all), so there is nothing to optify. In some cases, it's just not possible to easily optify (without make a symlink mess), such as with gstreamer packages. My script reports packages as not optified if they do not install at least a single file in /opt.

There is no guarantee anything from Nokia official repos, extras (non-testing/non-devel), or the Ovi store will be optified. The majority of the non-system packages that can be safely/easily optified are, however.

The pymaemo-optify package relocates certain python related directories to /opt, which my script will recognize. The python packages that are listed (python, python-all, python-central, python-minimal) do not install any files in either /opt or in the specific python directories that pymaemo-optify relocates, so it reports them as not optified (which is true).

Make sure you are in the folder where the script is by using cd /folder/folder/ (In X-Terminal)
Then run
Code:
./scriptname.sh
So the example in the wiki is:
Code:
./move-to-opt.sh
If you are not in the directory where the script is you can run
Code:
/folder/folder/move-to-opt.sh

The other thing to note is that if you've installed the scripts onto a VFAT file system (/media/mmc1 or /home/user/MyDocs) then you'll need to use "sh scriptname.sh" instead.

edit:... Okay no need for reflash . now i have 80mb of free space at the rootfs. Nice!!
